Which Saint Albert?

The history book for St Albert, The Black Robe's Vision, points the city's namesake to Albertus Magnus, or St Albert the Great. However, an article from the St Albert Gazette argues that St Albert was named after a different Saint Albert, particularly Albert of Louvain, the cardinal-bishop of Liège.

When did the St Albert telephone move to the Mauchle home?

Black Robe's Vision says 1906, while the St Albert Gazette says the phone was moved in 1908. How is it that two reputable sources can have a discrepancy in the year?
